Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® Lacquer — Clear Matte

The Matte Lacquer is for when you want the durability of a hard finish without losing the chalky, matte quality that makes Chalk Paint® so distinctive. It protects just as well as the Gloss — UV-resistant, suitable inside and out, tough enough for kitchen cabinets and outdoor furniture — but the finish stays soft and completely true to the paint beneath it.

It is the lacquer for pieces where the look matters as much as the longevity. The surface is protected, sealed, and wipeable — and it still looks exactly like Chalk Paint®.

How to Use Chalk Paint® Lacquer Matte

Apply over fully dried Chalk Paint® using a flat synthetic brush or foam roller, working in long, even strokes in one direction. Two coats are recommended for full protection — allow each coat to dry fully before applying the next. Lightly sand between coats with a fine sanding pad for the smoothest possible finish. Do not apply over wax.
