The Small Flat Brush is the one I reach for when precision matters more than speed. Scaled down for the work that needs a lighter touch — cutting in around edges, painting chair legs, getting into corners cleanly, applying lacquer to smaller pieces without overloading the surface. It does all of it well.
No. 30 stamped into the wood. Small enough to be nimble, substantial enough to feel like a proper brush in the hand.
What the Small Flat Brush is Perfect For
- Cutting in around edges and corners
- Applying Chalk Paint® Lacquer to smaller pieces
- Chair legs, spindles, and narrow surfaces
- Detail work where the Large brush is simply too wide
How to Use It
Load evenly and apply in long, smooth strokes in one direction. Avoid overworking the surface — the bristles lay paint down cleanly and don't need much encouragement. For lacquer, two coats with a light sand between gives the best result.
Care
Rinse thoroughly in warm water immediately after use. Reshape and dry flat or bristle-down.
